初级商务听力:跨国企业卷入商业贿赂风波
The Shanghai Daily newspaper reported that 22 company directors and senior employees of multinational corporations such as McDonald\'s, McKinsey Consulting, and Whirlpool have been detained as part of a bribery investigation. Four Chinese computer networking equipment companies have been accused of paying $500,000 in bribes to employees of the multinational companies, mostly to employees of McKinsey. Some legal experts say that although the Chinese government once discouraged the press from reporting on such cases in order to encourage more multinational companies to do business in China, their new attitude shows the world that they want to reduce bribery and corruption in the country\'s business dealings.
