give preference to 宠爱
【讲解】
名词preference意为“偏爱,更加喜爱”，give preference to表示“偏爱……，特别喜爱 ......”，亦可作 have a preference of sth. to/over another.
【对话】
A: I hear you give preference to Lily in your class.
A: 我听说你在班上特别偏爱莉莉。
B: Yeah. Though I know it's wrong, I can't help making a favorite of her.
B：是的。虽然我知道不应该，可还是忍不住偏向她。
A: Does she always get the highest score?
A：她总是拿到最高分，是吗？
