brush sb. off
1. 解词释义
Brush sb. off表示“不理睬某人”“漠视某人”,多用于非正式场合。用连字符将brush和off连在一起就变成了名词,即:brush-off。这样的话,就产生了一个意思和它一样的习语:give sb. a brush-off。
