习语：a blind alley

讲解: 这是一个名词性短语，alley是胡同，小巷的意思。从字面上理解，是“瞎胡同”“死胡同”，引申为“前途暗淡”“行不通”之义。

Eg. When he invested in that business, he went up a blind alley.

当他投资做那个生意时，他就走上了一条绝路。

Eg. Bob did not take the job because it was a blind alley.

鲍勃没有接受此职，因为它没有发展前途。
