托福考生中最担心的部分是听力考试，也是备考过程中耗时和精力最多的一个环节。

备考中一个常见的误区是认为听力只需要不断做题，培养语感和背单词就能获得高分。

如果不能识别听力的关键信息和不了解出题方式，正确率会下降。所以如果想要在托福听力部分取得更高分，务必掌握以下六个答题技巧！

1，听主旨句

主旨题考察的是考生对听力主题和整体内容的理解。

听力中的主旨句通常会在开头，所以要重点关注第一句。

在lecture中，教授通常会一开始就会介绍讲座的主题，常用以下句型：

•So those are some of the common theories on... Now let's talk about...

•Let's talk about that before we move on to some of ...

•Now, in order to sort of get our heads around..., we need to understand...

•I'd like to talk about an important paradigm in...

•We've been talking about techniques for...

•We've all heard that there are...

如果没听懂或错过了开头的主旨句，也不用担心，在后面的听力内容中还会有很多例子和信息支持，可以根据后续文本的具体内容进行主旨的总结。

2，注意说话人的语气

在每篇听力的最后一题重听题中有时会考到说话人的态度或观点，我们可以通过他们的语调变化判断出正确选项。

常考的态度有：agree; disagree; doubt; worry; confident; surprise...

除此之外，还可以通过用词来推测说话人的意图，通常要注意的是语气词和含有感情色彩的词。

TPO58L1Q6为例：

原文：

Student: I think so. I mean, we talked about using the sun and the stars as navigation and guides, and that would certainly be helpful for homing.

And so with that ability to sense earth's magnetic poles, the one in the studies you described about the um, internal magnetic compass birds have.

Yeah, it should be the same.

问题：

Why does the student say this:

A.To establish a connection between two scientific studies.

B.To point out that the professor mentioned these details in a previous class.

C.To indicate she is confident that her initial response was correct.

D.To show that she agrees with the professor's interpretation of a theory.

分析：

"I think so", "certainly". "Yeah, it should be the same." 这些都是表示肯定的语言，可以推测语气是很自信的，并且中间的内容也都是支持自己的这个观点的，因此对应C选项

3，不要过分在意细节

托福听力中的细节通常是用来支撑观点的，并不会考察对细枝末节的了解，比如具体年份、名字或地点等。听力考查的通常是细节延伸出的内容，所以考生们要学会利用细节推测出重点。

TPO58L1Q4为例：

原文：

Professor: So when birds are out searching for food, they can memorize landmarks: mountains, rivers, who knows, maybe even the post office.

Studies of gannet have shown that this is one way they navigate.

Gannets or sea birds, so when they wind up in an unfamiliar location over land, they fly in outward spirals until they reach the coast.

Then they use the coastline to find their way home.

问题：

Why does the professor mention a study with gannets?

A.To identify a bird species that does not migrate long distances.

B.To explain that some birds fly in spiral patterns until they locate food sources.

C.To illustrate differences in behavior between coastal and mountain bird species.

D.To demonstrate that some birds use distinctive features of the landscape as a navigation tool.

分析：

教授在举例"Gannet"之前就提出了有些鸟类可以记忆地标，比如山和河流。后面的细节"one way"和"use the coastline"都是上述观点的支撑。因此答案是D

4，注意信号词前后的信息

一篇lecture的长度大约是4-6分钟，对于陌生的学术讲座，很难保持长时间的专注。

其实在考试中，更好的策略是选择性地听，多注意重要的单词，比如信号词。

5，不要跳过题目

跳题就意味着这道题一定会丢分，所以如果有拿不准的题目，可以靠排除错误选项作答。

TPO40L4Q6为例：

原文：

Now, from a business standpoint, infrastructure purchases can be great investments!

If a company buys or gets a long-term lease on a toll bridge from the government, it's got an almost guaranteed steady source of revenue for years and years, which means that if the company decides it wants to sell the bridge to another company, say ten years from now, it'll have no problem finding a buyer.

问题：

According to the professor, what is likely to happen when a bridge provides steady revenue for a private company?

A.The bridge will be well maintained in the long term.

B.The company will not raise tolls.

C.Other companies will be interested in buying the bridge.

本题答案对应重听段落的第一句，听到后同义转换可得出正确答案选择C选项

A选项错误原因：无中生有，听力中都没有提到

B选项错误原因：张冠李戴，tolls是文章前面段落讨论的内容，不在重听段落内

D选项错误原因：张冠李戴，voters是文章前面段落讨论的内容，不在重听印落内

6，合理规划答题时间

一个听力section有大约10分钟，共15-17个问题，平均每个问题大约有35秒的时间。
